First Steps: Where to Begin Wedding Planning?
Did you just become a bride? Congratulations! We also completely understand what's going through your mind right now. There's so much to do, but it's unclear what to tackle first and what can wait. Should you book a photographer immediately? Is it time to buy your wedding dress yet? Pour yourself a cup of tea, get comfortable — we're here to walk you through where to begin planning your wedding, so you can do everything right.

Step 1 – Choose Your Season & Wedding Date
First, select an approximate date for your celebration — this will influence all the decisions that follow. At this stage, it's better not to fix an exact day, but rather narrow it down to a specific month. This gives you flexibility to adjust if your preferred venue isn't available on your initial date.

What kind of celebration have you always dreamed of? Do you picture yourself in a snow-white gown amidst sunlit winter snowdrifts? A photoshoot in blooming spring gardens? A warm outdoor summer wedding? Or a stroll through a colorful autumn forest? Every season has its pros and cons, so choose with your heart — don't try to find the "perfect" one.

When planning your date, also decide preliminarily whether you prefer a weekend or weekday celebration. Traditionally, weddings are held on weekends — that way, all guests can attend without taking time off work. Weekday weddings may mean losing a few guests, but you'll find it easier to book your preferred venue or vendor.
Step 2 – Draft a Preliminary Guest List
The number of guests determines which venue you can book (each has a capacity limit), how many invitations you'll need, and most importantly — your overall budget. Generally, wedding costs rise with guest count, so invite thoughtfully.
You likely won't finalize your guest list right now, but a preliminary draft will help you gauge the scale of your celebration.

Step 3 – Define Your Budget
When deciding where to begin wedding planning, couples often consider the budget much later. That's a mistake — financial parameters directly influence nearly every decision you and your partner will make. Your budget affects venue selection, dress spending, and even your final guest count.
As in the previous step, you'll only estimate a rough figure now, but it will establish clear boundaries and help you allocate funds across categories (decor, couple's attire, etc.).
Step 4 – Start Gathering Inspiration
After the essential groundwork comes the fun part: searching for inspiration (finally!). Browse Pinterest, read wedding blogs, and save everything that catches your eye. It helps to have at least a general sense of what you want, but if not, the search itself will help clarify your vision.
The key is not to linger too long on this step or swing wildly between styles — planning a boho wedding today, then switching to an intimate celebration at a trendy city restaurant tomorrow. The goal here is to form a broad vision of your wedding.

Step 5 – Choose Your Wedding Style & Color Palette
Emerging from the sea of photos and articles from the previous step, it's time to define your celebration's style. It's perfectly fine to narrow it down to two directions for now — you can eliminate one later. It's also helpful to establish a basic color direction, even if just "pastels / bright tones / all-white."

Step 6 – Decide What's Essential for Your Celebration
Now it's time to clarify what must be part of your wedding — and what definitely won't be. Do you want an outdoor ceremony, or a civil registration at the registry office? Do you want a traditional bride ransom ceremony? Games for guests? A church blessing?
Step 7 – Determine Which Vendors You Need
First, decide whether you're organizing the wedding yourself or hiring a wedding planner. If you delegate to an agency, select them first — they'll help you find the rest of your vendors and assist with venue selection.
If you're planning independently, decide who you absolutely need.
Typically, this includes:
• Photographer
• Decorator / Florist
• MC / Host
• Stylist (hair & makeup)
• Pastry chef for the wedding cake
• DJ

Many couples also seek a videographer, wedding coordinator, dress consultant, entertainers, choreographer, or invitation designer. Sign a contract with every vendor — never rely on verbal agreements alone.

Step 8 – Book Your Venue
Our banquet halls at Mega Palace Hotel are designed to bring your boldest wedding visions to life. Book soon — before your preferred date is taken by another couple!

Step 9 – Submit Your Civil Registration Application
Once your venue contract is signed, you can confidently submit your application to the civil registry office. Why this order? Because securing your desired date at the registry is generally easier than finding the perfect venue (provided you plan ahead). Plus, now you can choose the registry office most conveniently located relative to your venue, minimizing travel time on your special day.

Now you know where to begin your wedding planning journey. We hope you'll move through these essential steps calmly and confidently as you progress to the next stages of organization.
